Farley’s Finds: Film, Food and Favorites is a weekly series where I share with you what I love, what is deserving of a toast of whiskey, where I’ll be (events) and what I’m looking forward to this upcoming week. It’s sounds totally self-centered, but REALLY it’s because I stumble on some really amazing things other people are doing and I want to share them with you. So there!

Being that it is Veterans Day, a massive, genuine, heartfelt thank you to all those that have served our country.

Sharing the Love:  

I gotta give it up to where I work for hosting a super impressive festival last weekend. The inaugural azcentral.com Food and Wine Experience was classy, fun and packed full of delicious food from top local restaurants, incredible demonstrations by some of the nation’s best and most famous chefs, a plethora of booths to sample wine, beer and spirits and even fashion models who dressed up like water faucets. Yep. And while I didn’t personally attend any of the private meals with a chef, I hear it was a really unique and amazing time. Definitely looking forward to next year and going bigger and better!

I have officially taken down the Halloween decorations, busted out the winter clothes and am patiently waiting to put up my tree until the day after Christmas per my cohabiter’s request.

Sharing the Love:  

I have been allotted the task of booking a Santa Claus for an event coming up and I stumbled upon something called gigsalad.com. It’s pretty freaking awesome. They have entertainers, actors, models, santas, clowns and all sorts of people on the site. You put in your booking information and they literally bid by sending you quotes to get the gig. It really is a brilliant concept and I wish I had known about his earlier. I wonder if they have DJ’s on there? Oh and photographers?! This is just so exciting and wickedly convenient...
